Amsterdam Square (Leidseplein)

Environment Overview:
This scene is a highly accurate recreation of Leidseplein, a well-known square in the heart of Amsterdam. Built to real-world scale, it focuses on the central area of the square, featuring tram lines, roadways, and several recognizable buildings that enhance realism and immersion during training.

Additional Details:
Significant effort was made to recreate specific buildings and architectural details found on the actual square, ensuring that the environment feels familiar and authentic. The layout includes a mix of pedestrian zones, public transport lines, and dense urban infrastructure, making it ideal for high-pressure, urban emergency scenarios.

Training Opportunities:
This environment offers multiple training scenarios, including:
  1. Customizable fire placements and NPC spawners (victims and aggressors) throughout the square and nearby structures
  2. A pre-configured car crash scenario where a vehicle collides with a tram, allowing for first responder and public safety training
  3. An alternate version of the map without the tram, featuring a mass casualty incident in which a car drives into a crowd of more than 20 people
In the mass casualty scenario, players are assigned specific emergency response roles, such as:
  1. Triage – assessing and prioritizing injured individuals
  2. Command & Control – coordinating the emergency response effort
  3. Treatment – providing on-site care to victims in designated zones
Unique elements in this environment:
  1. A realistic, to-scale urban setting modeled after one of Amsterdam’s busiest squares
  2. Role-based multiplayer scenarios that require cooperation and communication
  3. Designed for complex emergency response drills, including large-scale coordination and real-time role execution
