Anydesk
How to set up a remote connection

Anydesk is a remote access application that allows users to connect to and control another device over the internet. It comes pre-installed on all Flashgroup Academy kits to facilitate technical support.

Its primary function on the Academy kits is to enable Flashgroup support members to remotely access the device for troubleshooting and resolving any issues that may occur with the computer inside the kit.

To begin using Anydesk, launch the application from the Academy kit. Upon the first launch, the user will be prompted to accept a disclaimer. This step must be completed before remote access can proceed. Once the disclaimer is accepted, Anydesk will display a unique 10-digit access code. This code should be provided to the support members who will be assisting with the issue.

After the support member enters the code on their end, a pop-up will appear on the user's screen requesting permission to allow the remote session. The user must manually accept this request to grant access.

What do we have access to?

There are two levels of support access available through Anydesk:

  1. 1. Regular Access – This level allows the support member to navigate the system, use basic Windows applications, and transfer files to and from the computer. It is suitable for general troubleshooting and file-related assistance.

  1. 2. Admin Access – This higher level of access grants the support member permission to access sections of Windows that require administrator rights. It is typically used when deeper system settings or administrative actions are needed to resolve an issue.

Support members will request the appropriate level of access depending on the nature and complexity of the issue.

 Flash Service
What is Flash Service?
Flash Service is a background application that runs in parallel with the main Academy platform, operating silently to manage peripheral device connectivity. Its primary function is to monitor the real-time status of peripherals connected to the kit's network. By actively managing the communication between each peripheral and the network router, Flash Service ensures that only active and properly connected devices are projected into the Academy interface. Flash Service launches automatically when the Academy platform is started, eliminating the need for manual activation. This allows users to access and utilize peripherals within Academy without manual setup or configuration. The application enhances system reliability and user experience by automating device detection and maintaining continuous background monitoring.
